“THE FARM” as the property is called is situated on a rural setting in a small county town on the South Coast.
The house was designed and built by the Moffat builders’ team and boasts many details that have not been seen previously, as they were designed and driven by Moffat builders.
The home is divided up into 4 hubs and linked with glass breezeways, light cladding has been used on two of the hubs to refine the modern farmhouse look, and the two other hubs have the European style cladding and roofing installed, called standing seam.
Glass was a huge part of this home as it takes in the rural outlook of the farm.
The home includes polished concrete floors throughout, lining board to the vaulted and raked ceilings, sandstone walls, Tasmanian oak linings in the centre hub that has hidden doors that seamlessly flow and disappear in with the wall linings.
The fireplace is sandstone with a cantilevered polished concrete hearth.
The external verandah are also polished concrete that provide the home with thermal mass which heats up the slab through the day from the suns rays and distributes the heat out in the evening into the house.
The details and the craftsman ship showcased in this house is a credit to the entire Moffat builders’ team.
